Terms of Use
A few things to know about your listening space.
Updated October 2, 2026
1. About Vinylen
Vinylen is provided by Nguyen Nhut Truong, operating under the DiscCam brand (“we” or “us”). These terms cover the Vinylen website and Mac and iPad apps. By using them, you agree to these terms, subject to your rights under applicable law. Contact us at truongtomato.contact@gmail.com.
Vinylen requires macOS 14 or later on Mac or iPadOS 17 or later on iPad. It plays Apple Music inside the app; the Mac version can also follow playback in the Music and Spotify desktop apps. It does not supply or sell a music catalog.
2. Using Vinylen
You may use Vinylen for personal listening on a compatible Mac or iPad in accordance with these terms and the applicable App Store license and usage rules. Use music you are entitled to access, respect copyright, and do not bypass service access restrictions or copy or redistribute music without permission.
Vinylen’s software, interface, and original artwork are protected by intellectual property rights. Music, album covers, and service names belong to their respective owners. Using Vinylen does not give you rights to redistribute that content.
3. Free and Pro
The free app includes music connections, browsing, playback, the current player, and the Soft Glow background. Upgrade reminders can be dismissed with “Later” and do not stop your music.
Vinylen Pro Lifetime is an optional, one-time, non-consumable purchase. It unlocks Studio on iPad; on Mac it unlocks Studio, Wallpaper, and Floating, and removes upgrade reminders. Future player styles and decorations specifically designated Pro are included when released. No release date or particular future design is promised, and this purchase does not include all future DiscCam products or services.
“Lifetime” means the Pro purchase has no scheduled expiry or recurring charge. It does not guarantee that the app, operating systems, or third-party services will operate forever. Vinylen has no account requirement, advertising, or recurring subscription. When the iPad version is available, the same non-consumable purchase can be restored on a compatible iPad with the purchasing Apple Account.
4. Price, payment, and restoration
The US base price of Vinylen Pro Lifetime is $3.99. Apple supplies localized prices and displays the applicable amount and purchase terms at checkout. Apple handles payment; your music-service subscriptions are separate.
RevenueCat validates purchases and helps restore Pro access. To restore, sign in to the App Store on the device with the Apple Account used for the original purchase, then choose “Restore Purchases” in Vinylen’s Settings or upgrade screen. Restoration may require an internet connection and Apple authentication. Contact Support if your purchase cannot be found.
A cancelled checkout does not unlock Pro. A pending purchase unlocks only after it is confirmed. An approved refund or revocation can remove the associated Pro entitlement without changing the free playback features.
5. Refunds
Request a refund for an Apple-billed purchase at reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple assesses eligibility under its process and applicable law; submitting a request does not guarantee approval. See Apple’s refund guidance for the steps and help with purchases that do not appear.
Nothing in these terms limits any cancellation, refund, warranty, or other consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
6. Music services
Native Apple Music playback on Mac and iPad requires an active Apple Music subscription and Apple Music permission. On Mac, following the Music app requires Automation permission; Spotify integration requires the Spotify desktop app, signed in, and Automation permission.
Apple Music and Spotify subscriptions are not included in Vinylen Pro. Your use of those services remains subject to their own account requirements and terms. See Apple’s service terms and Spotify’s Terms of Use. Vinylen is independent and is not endorsed by Apple or Spotify.
7. Availability
Playback and artwork depend on permissions, compatible software, service availability, and sometimes an internet connection. Catalogs and third-party integrations can change. We cannot promise uninterrupted operation or the availability of any particular song. Your non-excludable legal rights continue to apply.
You can stop using Vinylen at any time. Removing it from your device does not itself request a refund or erase records held by Apple or other service providers.
8. Privacy and contact
Our Privacy Policy explains the data used to provide Vinylen, purchases, this website, and support. If these terms change, the revised version and effective date will appear on this page. A change to these terms does not remove rights you have under applicable law.
For questions about these terms or help with Vinylen, email truongtomato.contact@gmail.com or visit Support.
